China produced 612'100 tons of cold rolled sheet in June 2005, up 11.4 percent year on year. Total cold rolled sheet production for the country in the first six months reached 3.78 million tons, a 20.3 percent year on year increase. China's Jiangsu province led the way, accounting for 28.4 percent (173'700 tons) of cold rolled sheet production in June and 30 percent (1.14 million tons) in the first half. Liaoning placed second with 89'600 tons of production in June and 571'000 tons through the first half. Shanghai followed with 66'700 tons in June and 397'300 tons in the first half, while Guangdong added 60'100 tons in June and 276'500 tons in the first half.
