Australian mining giant Anglo American Corporation has announced that the North Gauteng High Court has ruled that Sishen Iron Ore Company has the exclusive right to mine at Kumba Iron Ore's Sishen mine in South Africa.

The court also revoked the 21.4 percent prospecting right of Imperial Crown Trading (ICT). ICT stated that it will appeal the ruling "early in the new year".

The detailed reasons for the judgment are expected to be disclosed on Tuesday, December 20.
