Corus sheet piling business may be sold to Arcelor

According to recent news in the market, UK regulators has gave a provisional approval to Corus Group Plc's sale of its UK hot rolled sheet piling business to Luxembourg-based steel producer Arcelor. The officials are of the opinion that the deal will not reduce competition. Four officials in the Competition Commission reportedly voted for the deal against one official. Interested parties opposing to the deal should file their petitions to the Committee January 21, 2005 by the latest.
