Conares Metal Supply begins rolling mill construction

Conares Metal Supply Ltd has embarked on the construction of a 400,000 ton per year rolling mill to be established in Dubai, UAE. All equipment will be supplied by Siemens Vai. The rolling mill is designed to produce rebars, angles and merchant bars. Conares Metal Supply Ltd. already has a 470,000 square feet plot in Jebel Ali Free Zone as well as a 1.5 million square feet plot in Dubai Industrial City. The rolling mill is expected to be operational by 2008. Its products will be marketed in the group's focal markets, which are UAE, GCC, Europe and North America. Conares is expected to use its international steel sourcing experience in securing its billet supply. The company is implementing its corporate vision to become a manufacturer of up to 1.0 million tons of steel products by 2010. Conares Metal Supply Ltd, is a company located and operating in Jebel Ali Free Zone. It currently operates a tube mill with a capacity of 100,000 tons per year and is actively marketing its products in UAE, GCC, Europe and North America.
