Coal shipments by China’s railways up 13.3 percent in 2017

In 2017, coal shipments by Chinese railways amounted to 2.155 billion mt, up 13.3 percent year on year, as announced by the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC). In addition, coal shipments via main Chinese ports totaled 727 million mt, up 12.9 percent year on year.
