Iron ore prices in China rose slightly during the month of July, as stated in a new report issued by the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA).
At the end of July this year, the China Iron Ore Price Index (CIOPI) stood at 243.93 points, up 5.92 points or 2.49 percent compared to the end of June. In particular, the domestic production iron ore price index stood at 224.98 points, decreasing by 1.16 points or 0.51 percent month on month, while the import iron ore price index stood at 246.80 points, increasing by 7.0 points or 2.92 percent month on month.
For the whole of July, the average China Iron Ore Price Index (CIOPI) was at 235.27 points, down 1.88 points or 0.79 percent month on month. In particular, the average domestic production iron ore price index was at 222.58 points, down by 4.0 points or 1.77 percent, while the average import iron ore price index stood at 237.19 points, decreasing by 1.56 points or 0.65 percent, both month on month.
