Chongqing Steel produces 3.2178 million mt of crude steel in 2009

Chinese steelmaker Chongqing Steel achieved a crude steel output of 3.2178 million mt in 2009, compared to an output of 3.4592 million mt in 2008. Meanwhile, its comprehensive energy consumption per ton of steel dropped sharply in 2009 compared with 2008, with production costs down by RMB 57 million ($8.35 million) year on year.
