Chongqing Steel increases pig iron output at new location

Chinese steelmaker Chongqing Steel has announced that in June this year it produced 485,000 mt of pig iron from its three blast furnaces at its new location in Chongqing. This is the highest monthly output of the blast furnaces since they were put into production.

Chongqing Steel also stated that it is focused on improving its financial results, while also trying to reduce its costs.
