Chongqing Steel completes commissioning of first stage of relocation project

Chongqing-based Chinese steel producer Chongqing Iron and Steel Co. (Chongqing Steel) has announced that it has successfully ignited its blast furnace No. 3 at its new base in the district of Changshou in Chongqing.
 
Chongqing Steel plans to close down all operations at its old production base in the district of Dadukou by the end of this month. The successful commissioning of blast furnace No. 3 represents the completion of the commissioning of the first stage of Chongqing Steel's relocation project.

Accordingly, the annual production capacity of the first stage of the project has reached 6.5 million mt. The project is focused on the production of steel plate
