The Chinese customs administration has announced the details of China's steel exports for November.
Accordingly, the country exported 841,962 mt of rebar and wire rod in November, down around 15 percent from the 986,912 mt in October. From January to November 2007, total rebar and wire rod exports reached 15.2652 million mt.
With regard to sections, the country exported 317,133 mt of this steel product category in November, up 21 percent from 260,535 mt in October. Total section exports from January to November 2007 reached 5.16 million mt.
China's total flat rolled steel exports in November amounted to 2,000,374 mt, slightly down from 2,092,824 mt in October. Total flat steel exports reached 25.88 million mt from January to November. With regard to the November flat rolled steel export figure, medium plates accounted for 462,152 mt, up from 388,298 mt in October; hot rolled sheet and coils accounted for 133,097 mt, up from 109,675 mt in October; and cold rolled sheet and coils accounted for 23,861 mt up from 19,353 mt in October. Exports of medium width steel strips accounted for 385,071 mt, down from 554,580 mt in October; exports of cold rolled thin and wide steel strips came to 152,198 mt, down from 159,039 mt in October; hot rolled narrow steel strip export totaled 40,897 mt, down from 44,813 mt in October; and exports of cold rolled narrow strip came to 30,746 mt, up from 23,074 mt in the previous month. Meanwhile, exports of coated coils reached 275,342 mt in November, up from 270,029 mt in October.
Finally, China's pipe exports in November reached 675,697 mt, up from 661,551 mt in October.
China's total finished steel exports in November came to 4.1 million mt, down from 4.24 million mt in October.
