Chinese mills' common medium plate output up 9.9% in Dec from Nov

In December last year, the aggregate common medium plate and extra-thick steel plate outputs of large and medium-sized steel enterprises in China - all CISA members - amounted to 3.74 million mt and 500,000 mt, increasing by 9.9 percent and 16.3 percent month on month, respectively, as announced by the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA).

In the given month, CISA member steel enterprises produced 2.3 million mt of hot rolled strip and 3.13 million mt of cold rolled strip, increasing by 12.7 percent and 9.8 percent month on month, respectively.
