Chinese mills' common medium plate output down 5.01% in Sept from Aug

In September this year, the aggregate common medium plate and extra-thick steel plate outputs of large and medium-sized steel enterprises in China - all CISA members - amounted to 3.6745 million mt and 480,100 mt, decreasing by 5.01 percent and 11.86 percent month on month, respectively, as announced by the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA).

In the given month, CISA member steel enterprises produced 1.9727 million mt of hot rolled strip and 2.8591 million mt of cold rolled strip, down 6.66 percent and 8.86 percent month on month, respectively.
