Chinese measures urge exporters to rush shipments

Traders are convinced that the quotas announced by the Chinese authorities will urge the exporters of steel products to China, to ship the orders as soon as possible as the system is expected to work on a first-come-first-serve basis. Kazakhstan, Ukraine and Belarus are exempted for sure, basis their developing country status and bilateral agreements with China. On the other hand, traders are also worried about some cancellations from origins effected by the newly imposed measures. CHINA: Temporary Safeguard Measures
