In April this year, China produced 9,060 new energy vehicles, up 1.5 times year on year, including 4,790 pure electric passenger cars, 1,523 plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, 1,781 pure electric commercial vehicles and 956 plug-in hybrid electric commercial vehicles, according to the data issued by China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) on June 8.
In the January-April period of the year, China's new energy vehicle output amounted to 34,400 units, up three times year on year, including 15,900 pure electric passenger cars, 8,780 plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, 6,416 pure electric commercial vehicles and 3,330 plug-in hybrid electric commercial vehicles.
