China’s value-added industrial output up 5.7 percent in September

In September this year, China's overall value-added industrial output increased by 5.7 percent year on year, with this growth rate 0.4 percentage points lower than that recorded in August, as announced by China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on October 19. Meanwhile, in the January-September period of this year, China's overall value-added industrial output increased by 6.2 percent year on year.
 
In September this year, of the 41 industrial sectors in China, 38 witnessed year-on-year increases in value-added industrial output. In the given period, respective year-on-year increases of 6.1 percent, 2.2 percent, 2.7 percent, 4.5 percent and 7.9 percent were recorded in value-added industrial outputs in the ferrous metal smelting and rolling sector, the general purpose machinery sector, the automotive sector, the railway, shipping, aerospace and other transportation equipment manufacturing sector, and the electrical equipment and machinery sector.
