China’s steel scrap imports up 6.54 percent in January-September 2025

In September this year, China’s steel scrap imports amounted to 27,500 mt, up 47.08 percent month on month, while up 108 percent year on year, as announced by the Chinese customs authorities.

In the January-September period this year, China’s steel scrap imports totaled 201,800 mt, up 6.54 percent year on year.
