China’s steel bar exports up 45.1 percent in January-November

In November this year, China’s export volumes of steel bars, angles/channels, wire rods and steel plates amounted to 4.17 million mt, 380,000 mt, 170,000 mt, and 3.93 million mt, up 7.2 percent, rising by 0.2 percent, down 1.4 percent, and decreasing by 6.0 percent, respectively, year on year, as announced by Chinese customs. In the January-November period of the current year, China’s export volumes of steel bars, angles/channels, wire rods and steel plates totaled 39.32 million mt, 4.95 million mt, 2.07 million mt and 44.10 million mt, increasing by 45.1 percent, 16.1 percent, 6.0 percent and 12.4 percent, respectively, year on year.

In November this year, China exported 9.61 million mt of finished steel, down 1.1 percent year on year, while the finished steel export volume in the January-November period of the current year totaled 101.74 million mt, rising by 21.7 percent year on year, as previously announced by Chinese customs.
