China’s steel bar exports increase by 46.9 percent in January

In January this year, China’s export volumes of steel bars, angles/channels, steel plate and wire rod amounted to 1.07 million mt, 320,000 mt, 3.62 million mt, 190,000 mt, up 46.9 percent, 15.0 percent, 40.0 percent and 8.6 percent year on year, respectively, according to the Chinese customs authorities.

In January, China exported 6.19 million mt of finished steel, rising by 33.3 percent year on year, as previously announced by the Chinese customs authorities.
