China’s scrap exports surge sharply in January-April

In April this year, China’s steel scrap exports amounted to 15,360 mt, up 14,707 mt month on month and increasing from 55 mt recorded in the same month of 2016, while the steel scrap export volume in the January-April period totaled 16,081 mt, compared to 272 mt in the same period of the previous year, as announced by the Chinese customs authorities.
