In October this year, China produced 49,000 new energy vehicles, up 14.3 percent year on year, including 44,000 pure electric passenger cars and 5,000 plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, up 28.0 percent and down 39.1 percent year on year, respectively, according to the latest data issued by China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM).
In the January-October period of the current year, China’s new energy vehicle output amounted to 355,000 units, up 77.9 percent on year-on-year basis, including 276,000 pure electric passenger cars and 79,000 plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, rising by 98.1 percent and 31.0 percent year on year, respectively.
