In February this year, China produced 39,230 new energy vehicles, up 119.1 percent year on year, including 28,872 pure electric passenger cars and 10,358 plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, rising by 89.4 percent and 288.4 percent year on year, respectively, according to the latest data issued by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM).
In the January-February period of the current year, China’s new energy vehicle output amounted to 81,855 units, up 225.5 percent on year-on-year basis, including 56,706 pure electric passenger cars, rising by 168.4 percent, and 25,149 plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, up 524.8 percent year on year, respectively.
