On September 28, China’s National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) announced its approval for three new railway projects.
Accordingly, Long Huang Railway’s Xuyong-Bijie segment will start from Xuyong in Luzhou city in Sichuan Province and end in Bijie city in Guizhou Province, with a total length of 189 kilometers. Total investment in the project will amount to RMB 13.76 billion ($2.16 billion). In addition, the Wuhan-Shiyan Railway will start from Xiaogan in Wuhan city in Hubei Province, extending to Shiyan city in the northwest of Hubei Province, with a total length of 395 kilometers. Total investment in this project will amount to RMB 52.75 billion ($8.28 billion). Furthermore, the Xuzhou-Yancheng Railway from Xuzhou city in Jiangsu Province to Yancheng in Jiangsu Province will have a length of 313.7 kilometers. Investment in the project will total RMB 42.825 billion ($6.72 billion).
