On December 29, China's Ministry of Commerce issued its first batch of coke export quotas for 2010, totaling a volume of 6.1 million mt. This figure represents an increase of 320,000 mt compared with the first batch volume of 5.78 million mt in 2009.
According to the announcement, the size of the first batch of coke export quotas for 2010 has been calculated based on the actual export volumes of the various relevant enterprises from January 2007 to October 2009.
Meanwhile, in the latest list, China Minmetals Corporation, Sinochem Group, Sinosteel Corporation and China Coal Energy Company Limited are among the enterprises to which coke export quotas have been allocated.
