China’s iron ore imports up 1.3 percent in January-November

In November this year, China’s imports of iron ore and iron ore concentrate amounted to 82.13 million mt, up 8.75 percent month on month and increasing by 21.9 percent year on year, while in the January-November period this year China’s imports of iron ore and iron ore concentrate totaled 856.55 million mt, up 1.3 percent year on year, as announced by the Chinese customs authorities on December 8.

In November this year, China imported 920,000 mt of finished steel, down 3.16 percent month on month and decreasing by 18.6 percent year on year. In the January-November period, China’s imports of finished steel totaled 11.60 million mt, declining by 12.3 percent year on year.
