China’s HRC exports up 123 percent in November 2009

In November 2009, China's hot rolled coil export volume stood at 731,100 mt, up 403,100 mt or 122.88 percent year on year, totaling a value of $416 million, up $75 million or 22.06 percent compared with the same month last year. The average export price was $568.77/mt. Total January-November HRC exports reached 2.9467 million mt, down 7.2622 million mt or 71.14 percent, amounting to a value of $1.792 billion, down $7.451 billion or 80.61 percent year on year.

Meanwhile, in November, the country's HRC imports came to 168,800 mt, up 75,500 mt or 80.96 percent year on year, totaling a value of $156 million, up $41 million or 36.11 percent compared with the same month last year. The average HRC import price was $926.6/mt. Total HR coil imports in the January-November period reached 4.1619 million mt, up 2.4694 million mt or 145.91 percent, amounting to $2.626 billion in value, up $715 million or 37.39 percent year on year.
