China's Guangdong Province plans to cut coal consumption

China's Guangdong Province has announced plans to reduce coal consumption. Accordingly, by the year 2020, overall coal consumption in the province is targeted at around 165 million mt, which is 19.34 million mt lower than in 2017. Meanwhile, the share of non-fossil energy in the province's total energy consumption will be not less than 26 percent by 2020.
