China’s foreign trade value up 3.4 percent in 2014

In December 2014, China's total foreign trade value amounted to $405.415 billion, indicating a year-on-year increase of 10.0 percent, as announced by the Chinese customs authorities on January 13. In the given month, the total value of China's exports amounted to $227.514 billion, up 7.5 percent month on month and rising by 9.7 percent year on year, while Chinese imports totaled $177.901 billion in value, up 13.3 percent month on month, down 2.4 percent year on year, resulting in a trade surplus of $49.613 billion.

In 2014, China's foreign trade value amounted to $4.303038 trillion, up 3.4 percent, with a total export value of $2.342748 trillion, increasing by 6.1 percent, and a total import value of $1.960290 trillion, up 0.4 percent, all year on year. The trade surplus for the period in question was $382.458 billion.
