China’s foreign trade value rises by 11.4 percent in 2017

In December last year, China’s total foreign trade value amounted to $408.886 billion, indicating a year-on-year rise of 8.0 percent, as announced by the Chinese customs authorities on January 12. In the given month, the total value of China’s exports amounted to $231.786 billion, increasing by 10.9 percent year on year, while Chinese imports totaled $177.101 billion in value, rising by 4.5 percent year on year, resulting in a trade surplus of $54.685 billion.

In 2017, China’s total foreign trade value amounted to $4.104475 trillion, up 11.4 percent year on year. In the given year, the total value of China’s exports amounted to $2.26349 trillion, up 7.9 percent, while the value of its imports rose by 15.9 percent year on year to $1.840985 trillion, resulting in a trade surplus of $422.506 billion in the given period.
