In the January-May period this year, China exported 29.093 million mt of finished steel, up 2.5 percent year on year, as announced by the Chinese customs authorities on June 10.
In the January-May period of the current year, China exported 3.464 million mt of metallurgical coke, decreasing by 9.7 percent year on year.
In May alone, China exported 5.743 million mt of finished steel, down 16.5 percent, while exporting 879,000 mt of coke, up 4.6 percent, both year on year.
