China's excavator sales decline by 18.5 percent in May

In May this year, China’s excavator sales amounted to 16,809 units, down 18.5 percent year on year, according to the statistics for major excavator manufacturing enterprises by the China Construction Machinery Association (CCMA).

In particular, in May, excavator sales in the Chinese domestic market came to 6,592 units, down 45.9 percent year on year, while excavator sales to the export market totaled 10,217 units, up 21.0 percent year on year.   

In the January-May period this year, China’s excavator sales amounted to 93,052 units, down 23.9 percent year on year.
