China’s crude steel output up 0.7 percent in January-October

In October this year, China produced 58.76 million mt of pig iron, 68.51 million mt of crude steel and 97.68 million mt of finished steel, indicating respective increases of 3.6 percent, 4.0 percent and 4.1 percent year on year, as announced by China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on November 14.

In the January-October period of the current year, China produced 586.35 million mt of pig iron, 672.96 million mt of crude steel and 948.29 million mt of finished steel, down 0.1 percent, up 0.7 percent and increasing by 2.4 year on year, respectively.
