In the January-September period this year, China’s coke output reached 368.31 million mt, up 2.6 percent year on year, as announced by China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).
In the first nine months this year, China’s raw coal output amounted to 3.44215 billion mt, rising by 3.0 percent year on year, 0.4 percentage points slower compared to the increase recorded in the January-August period. In the January-September period, China imported 350 million mt of coal, up 73.1 percent year on year.
In September this year, China imported 42.14 million mt of coal, up 27.8 percent year on year.
In September alone, China’s coke output and raw coal output totaled 41.44 million mt and 392.98 million mt, up 3.6 percent and 0.4 percent, respectively, year on year.
