China Minmetals Corp. sees 37.3% fall in gross profit in 2012

Zhou Zhongshu, president of Beijing-based Chinese state-owned metals and mineral trading group China Minmetals Corporation, has announced that in 2012 China Minmetal’s operating revenue amounted to RMB 325 billion ($51.75 billion), down 8.5 percent year on year.Meanwhile, in 2012 the group achieved a gross profit of RMB 8 billion ($1.27 billion), down 37.3 percent on year-on-year basis.
 
In addition, Mr. Zhou said that for 2013 China Minmetals Corp. has set respective targets of RMB 320 billion ($50.95 billion) and RMB 8 billion for operating revenue and gross profit.
