Chilean steel mill CAP S.A to increase capacity

Chilean steel mill CAP S.A. is reported to be increasing its production capacity by 10-15% by the end of next year. This capacity expansion is scheduled with the purpose of meeting the higher demand in the market. No official announcement has yet been made by the company officials with regard to which production lines will be involved in the capacity expansion; however it is commonly expected among the mill's customer that it will only involve the flat rolled products. CAP S.A. is a Chilean integrated steel mill with a continuous caster, producing billets and slabs as well as bars, hot rolled and cold rolled steel products.
