Cherepovets Steel Mill, one of the world's largest integrated steel mills and part of the Russian Steel division of Severstal, one of the world's leading steel and steel-related mining companies, has announced that it produced a record volume (since 1990) of 9.075 million mt of agglomerate in 2013.

The output increase can be attributed to the reconstruction of sintering machines with installation of an additional vacuum chamber,  use of sintering ore in batch and increase of lime consumption.
In 2013, the company's production of pig iron reached approximately 8.759 million mt, up 352,460 mt compared to 2012.
