Changjiang Steel commissions blast furnace No. 2 for pig iron production

Anhui Province-based Chinese steelmaker Changjiang Iron and Steel Co. (Changjiang Steel), a subsidiary of Maanshan Iron and Steel (Masteel), has commissioned its new blast furnace No. 2 for pig iron production, which marks the completion of its technological innovation project, as announced by China MCC17 Group Co. - subsidiary of state-owned enterprise China Metallurgical Group Co. (MCC) - which has been in charge of construction work on the project.

The project has focused on production of both pig iron and crude steel. With the scope of the project, Changjiang Steel has already commissioned its blast furnace No. 1 for pig iron production and its blast furnace No. 2 for crude steel production.
