Canadian iron ore production down 16.5 percent in February

According to Statistics Canada, Canada produced 4,345,551 mt of iron ore concentrates in February, down 16.5 percent from January and down 8.2 percent from February 2022.

Canadian iron ore producers shipped 2,545,816 mt of iron ore concentrates in February, up 22.5 percent from January and up 20.1 percent from February 2022.

Closing inventories of iron ore concentrates at Canadian producers totaled 10,382,567 mt in February, compared to 10,656,647 mt in January and 6,200,038 mt in February 2022.
