The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) has announced its determination in the expiry review concerning the dumping of certain carbon steel welded pipe originating in or exported from Taiwan, India, Oman, South Korea, Thailand, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the subsidizing of the same products from India.
Accordingly, the CBSA has determined that the expiry of the antidumping order concerning the aforementioned products originating in or exported from the six countries is likely to result in the continuation or resumption of dumping and the expiry of the finding in respect of the subsidizing of the same goods from India is likely to result in the continuation or resumption of subsidizing of the goods exported to Canada.
The Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) will now conduct an inquiry to determine whether the expiry of its order is likely to result in injury to the Canadian industry and will issue its decision no later than October 15, 2018.
The goods in question are classified under Harmonized System (HS) tariff classification numbers 7306.30.00.10, 7306.30.00.20 and 7306.30.00.30.
