According to the data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), the number of buildings authorized by building permits from municipalities in
Turkey in the first half of 2013 increased to 54,219, up 10.7 percent from 48,984 permits registered during the same period of the previous year and up 12.6 percent compared to the level recorded in the first half of 2011.
In the first half this year, the value of the buildings in question increased by 7.5 percent year on year to $55.3 billion and was up 56.8 percent over the value recorded the first half of 2011. In the first half of the current year, the total number of apartments authorized by building permits increased to 391,699, up 7.7 percent from the same half of the previous year and up 32.9 percent over the first half of 2011.
Meanwhile, in the first half of the current year the number of buildings given occupancy permits by municipalities in
Turkey increased by 18.6 percent to 49,727 buildings compared to the same period last year.
