Building of second dock advances at Persian Gulf Metals & Mineral Industries Zone

The construction of a new dock in the Persian Gulf Metals and Mineral Industries Special Zone is about 60 percent complete at present," Masoud Hendian, managing director of the special zone, has stated.

The first dock in the Persian Gulf Metals and Mineral Industries Special Zone has an annual capacity of six million dwt, and this will be doubled when the construction of the second dock is finished.

The Persian Gulf Metals and Mineral Industries Special Zone is located on a site covering 5,000 hectares 13 km east of Bandar Abbas, one of Iran's main ports on the Persian Gulf.
