Brazil's
iron ore export volume amounted to 27.69 million mt in May this year, decreasing by 3.6 percent compared to April and down 5.2 percent compared to the same month of 2014, according to the information released by the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade.
Brazil's
iron ore export value in May of the current year totaled $930.6 million, decreasing by 19.9 percent compared to the previous month and down 62.3 percent year on year.
In May,
Brazil's export volume of semi-finished products of iron and steel amounted to 676,200 mt, increasing by 65.8 percent compared to the previous month and up 82.2 percent year on year, while these exports were valued at $248.9 million, increasing 54.5 percent compared to April and up 29 percent year on year.
Meanwhile, in May
Brazil's flat steel exports totaled 301,400 metric tons, increasing 129.6 percent from April and up 502.4 percent year on year. The revenue generated by these exports totaled $178.7 million, increasing by 92.8 percent month on month and up 283.2 from the May 2014 level.
