Brazil's iron ore export volume amounted to 31.9 million mt in September this year, decreasing 9.6 compared to the same month of 2016, according to the information released by the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade. Brazil's iron ore exports in September totaled $1.6 billion in value, increasing 13.2 percent year on year.
In September, Brazil's export volume of semi-finished products of iron and steel amounted to 667,128 mt, down by 18.7 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, while these exports were valued at $270.94 million, decreasing by 8.8 percent year on year.
Meanwhile, in September Brazil's flat steel exports totaled 297,797 metric tons, down by 21.6 percent year on year. The revenue generated by these exports totaled $175.57 million, narrowing by 16.8 percent from the September 2016 level.
