Brazil's iron ore export volume amounted to 24.05 million mt in April this year, decreasing 17 compared to the same month of 2016, according to the information released by the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade. Brazil's iron ore exports in April totaled $1.62 billion in value, increasing 68.9 percent year on year.
In April, Brazil's export volume of semi-finished products of iron and steel amounted to 483,478 mt, down by 19.6 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, while these exports were valued at $213.2 million, increasing by 39.9 percent year on year.
Meanwhile, in April Brazil's flat steel exports totaled 188,235 metric tons, down by 28.7 percent year on year. The revenue generated by these exports totaled $123.36 million, growing by 4.2 percent from the April 2016 level.
