Brazilian steel flats distributor sales decline in November

Brazilian sales of flats by local distributors in November declined 2.3 percent, year-on-year, to 248,800 mt, said the nation’s distributors association, Inda.
 
According to Inda, distributors sales of flats in November diminished 2.9 percent in November, month-on-month.
 
Purchases of flats by Brazilian distributors in November rose 5 percent, year-on-year, but dropped 6 percent, month-on-month, to 256,400 mt.
 
Inventories in November increased 0.8 percent, month-on-month, reaching 919,500 mt. Inventory’s turnover slightly rose to 3.7 months in November from 3.6 months in October.
 
Inda said imports of flats by local distributors in November rose 29.9 percent, year-on-year, but decreased 35.9 percent, month-on-month, to 87,400 mt.
 
As for December, Inda expects both the sales and purchases of flats to decline 23 percent, month-on-month.
