According to the preliminary statistics provided by the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade, in August this year Brazil's flat rolled steel exports totaled 200,600 metric tons, increasing 35 percent compared to the previous month and up 33.7 percent year on year.
The revenue generated by these exports in August this year totaled $166.8 million, rising by 23.8 percent month on month and up 9.3 percent from the August 2011 level.
