Brazil should export between 5,000 to 10,000 vehicles to Paraguay as a result of a deal signed this week in the country’s capital, Asuncion.

Brazil’s minister of industry, foreign trade and services, Marcos Pereira, along with Paraguayan President Horacio Cortes launched a program aimed at helping Paraguayans buy affordable, safe cars under $10,000.

The deal was signed with automakers that have plants in Brazil to sell five models: Renault Kwid, Fiat Mobi, Ford Ka, VW Gol and Chevrolet Onix.

The deal is expected to renew Paraguay’s auto fleet, while helping Brazil export autos.
