The Brazilian industry and foreign trade ministry's commerce chamber, Camex, announced on January 27 that it has added imports of heavy plate from China with a boron content of 0.0008 percent or higher to the existing definitive antidumping (AD) duty on imports of heavy plate from China, South Korea, Ukraine and South Africa. The antidumping duty rate for the mentioned products will be $211.56/mt.

The original antidumping duties, valid for five years, were announced on October 2013. With the adding of the new products, Camex aims to prevent the circumvention practices of Chinese exporters.

The added products fall under Customs Tariff Statistics Position Numbers 7208.36.10, 7208.36.90, 7208.37.00 and 7225.30.00.
