According to Chinese customs, in the first 10 months of the current year Liaoning Province-based Chinese steelmaker Benxi Steel exported 2,450,000 mt of steel products. Meanwhile, Benxi Steel expects its steel exports to total 2,800,000 mt for the whole of 2010, which would represent a 185.7 percent increase on year-on-year basis, breaking the producer's own record for annual steel exports. With an export volume of 2,800,000 mt, Benxi Steel will rank first among Chinese steel producers in terms of steel export volume in 2010.

In 2009, Benxi Steel's steel product export volume reached 950,000 mt, ranking third in the steel industry in China.
