Beiyin Steel exports a record 1.53 million mt of steel in 2012

Liaoning Province-based Chinese steelmaker Beiyin Iron and Steel Co., a subsidiary of state-owned Benxi Steel Group Co., exported a total of 1.53 million mt of steel products in 2012, up 390,000 mt or 34.2 percent on year-on-year basis, as announced by Benxi Steel on January 15.
 
The export volume in question constituted Beiyin Steel’s highest-ever annual export volume. In December alone, Beiyin Steel exported 140,000 mt of steel products, which was the company’s highest-ever monthly export volume.
