Xinjiang Province-based Chinese steelmaker Bayi Steel, part of Baosteel Group, plans to produce a minimum of 6.5 million mt of crude steel this year, though aiming to reach an output as high as 7 million mt. Meanwhile, this producer has announced that it has also been making efforts to cut its costs by increasing its usage of low-price coking coal.

As stated by Bayi Steel's vice president, Xiao Guodong, the company's products currently include hot rolled coils, cold rolled coils, galvanized coils and medium plate. He also added that they have built warehouses in northern and southern Xinjiang so as to provide better services to their customers.
